Leaving on a Jet plane. Etc

I have an idea when I will be back but who can be sure.
I did wake up on time. In fact early but managed to steal an extra hour.
Packing was done last night so wash dress and head for the Uber driver.
Julie was interesting. A golfer with a bit of vision. Her golf flags are now on half the courses in NZ after seeing the majority of flags were previously imported.  I like that sort of attitude.
But that was after I went through the usual mind games......what am I doing ? What am a spending all this time and money for, and while once I put the back pack on that contained just enough to get me half way round the world but still a lot, I knew.
The thrill of the unknown the challenge of being outside the comfortable familiarity, sitting feeling the mind stultify...not for me.
The thrill was short lived however, being confronted by airport security to get into one large shopping centre of flashy junk brings anyone back to reality with a resounding crash.  What a stark reminder of the consumer society we now accept as real and necessary.
But who am I to talk with most of the weight I carry being electronics. Two phones two computers chargers extra batteries cables, so much stuff, but I learned the slick new iPad that is so clever and allows me to sign things on the screen and send them back does not have USB ports, so for other stuff like backups for cameras and phones and charging same I need a Air Mac.
I am so old now that I forget the time when people were smarter than their devices !

So when the staff member gets replaced on the flight I am on and we can then leave NZ I will be on my way.
Mixed emotions about NZ and leaving, and the mountain of issues that we as a small nation have been hiding from.   I have no kids so I have no empathy for motherhood especially when it involves what used to be the most important job in the country. But that was back when Politicans made decisions. Now the “civils”  make the decisions, the Pollys make the announcements. So Mother PM is the biggest political shame in my life of observing politics.  Totally un-necessary and if we need that to distract us from sensible concerns, something terrible must be about to happen but what would they know anyway ?

So fasten your seatbelts !
